About Us
7 Generations Indigenous Society (7GI) is a federally registered non-profit organization dedicated to fostering community, personal growth, and transformative projects centered on reconciliation, under the banner of “Reconcili-Action” with Canadian First Nations. Our mission revolves around uniting individuals from diverse backgrounds to collaborate on initiatives that redefine the narrative of reconciliation, with a particular focus on empowering youth as catalysts for change.
Central to our approach is the belief that young people and individuals from every demographic, native and non-native alike, possess the vision, voice, and passion necessary to drive significant and sustainable societal transformation. As such, 7GI prioritizes the involvement of youth and emphasizes diversity in all our endeavours, offering opportunities and initiatives designed to expand perspectives and promote collaboration.
At the heart of 7GI’s philosophy is the recognition that each project we undertake is unique, and tailored to address specific needs and opportunities within both local and global communities. Locally, we strive to empower youth and individuals of all backgrounds through collaborative projects and events aimed at personal and community development, wellness promotion, and cultural exchange, facilitated through learning, workshops, and music initiatives. These efforts serve to promote health and wellness while fostering collaboration and inclusivity.
On a broader scale, 7GI facilitates cross-cultural exchanges, bringing together youth and individuals from diverse backgrounds to collaborate on impactful initiatives of national and international significance. Through our inclusive approach, we aim to bridge divides and promote understanding, ultimately advancing the cause of reconciliation and collective empowerment.
Crucially, the success of our initiatives relies on the guidance and mentorship provided by our extensive network of 7GI ambassadors. Comprised of leaders from various sectors including arts, education, sciences, politics, and business, as well as esteemed First Nations leaders and elders, these ambassadors serve as mentors and role models, offering invaluable support to youth participants and individuals from all demographics throughout their journey with 7GI.
In essence, 7 Generations Indigenous Society is committed to fostering a new generation of leaders equipped with the skills, knowledge, and empathy needed to effect positive change in their communities and beyond. Through our collaborative, youth-centric, and diverse approach, we aim to create a future defined by inclusivity, reconciliation, and collective action. That is Reconcili-Action!

Commitment
To inspire transformative change through the power of music, storytelling, and cultural exchange—creating a world where every voice is heard, valued, and uplifted.

Under the guiding principle of “Reconcili-Action,” 7GI uses creative expression—particularly music, storytelling, and cultural exchange—as a platform for healing, dialogue, and unity. Projects like Music on the Hill bring Indigenous and non-Indigenous people together to collaborate, share perspectives, and foster mutual understanding.

7GI designs and delivers initiatives that respond to specific local needs while also promoting national and international collaboration. Whether it’s organizing community events, songwriting retreats, or educational programming, the goal is to build healthier, more inclusive communities through shared action and meaningful partnerships.

7GI prioritizes the engagement of young people as drivers of change. Through workshops, mentorship programs, cultural teachings, and leadership training, youth are equipped with the tools, knowledge, and confidence to become future leaders in their communities and beyond.

Our Projects
7GI Society leads a variety of dynamic projects focused on youth empowerment, cultural exchange, and reconciliation through action. Each project is designed to foster collaboration between Indigenous and non-Indigenous communities, promoting wellness, leadership, and artistic expression. From music and storytelling initiatives like Music on the Hill, to songwriting retreats, mentorship programs, and cross-cultural workshops, 7GI creates spaces where individuals from all backgrounds can learn, grow, and contribute to a more inclusive and united future.

At Music on the Hill, we offer a unique blend of a live music venue and a retreat center. Our mission is to provide a space for artists and music lovers to connect and create unforgettable experiences.
